Bairavaa Box Office: The Vijay Starrer Makes A Grand Opening!

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Bairavaa, which hit the theatres yesterday (January 12, 2017) did open to mixed reviews from the audiences.

Nevertheless, the film has made a rock solid opening at the box office. In an official tweet of Sri Green Productions, who are the Tamil Nadu distributors of Bairavaa, they have mentioned that the movie has made a grand opening and the opening day collections is expected to touch the 20-Crore mark.

Bairavaa was released in close to 450 screens in Tamil Nadu alone, making it the biggest release of this season. If the reports are to be believed, then Bairavaa has recorded the highest opening for a Vijay film in Tamil Nadu.

The actor's previous best was Theri, which did manage to gross 13 Crores on its opening day itself. The record for the highest opening day box office collection is held by Rajinikanth's Kabali, which made a whopping amount of 21 Crores.

Bairavaa is also said to have made a strong opening in neighbouring states like Kerala, where Vijay has a huge fan base. The film, which released in 55 countries is also expected to fetch huge collections from the overseas market.

Well, the coming days would decide the fate of the movie. The weekend is sure to bring in some good revenue for the movie.
