Only
a
very
few
films
manage
to
get
that
funny
angle
that
brings
in
curiosity
in
the
minds
of
the
audiences
right
with
its
primary
storyline.
Ghajinikanth,
starring
Arya,
definitely
falls
into
that
league
of
movies
with
its
plot
having
everything
for
a
fun
entertainment
feast.
Have
the
makers
come
up
with
a
film
that
has
remained
loyal
to
the
prospects
of
the
storyline?
Well,
read
Ghajinikanth
review
to
know
more
about
the
same.
The
main
plot
of
Ghajinikanth
revolves
around
a
youngster
named
Rajinikanth.
Everything
is
perfect
for
him,
but
the
fact
that
he
has
some
issues
with
his
memory
pulls
his
prospects
down.
More
often,
he
faces
a
lot
of
backlashes
because
of
this
issue.
Later,
he
falls
in
love
with
Vandhana
and
how
he
tries
to
cover
up
his
memory
issues
form
the
major
part
of
the
story.
As
mentioned
above,
the
plot
of
the
film
calls
for
a
clean
comedy
entertainer
with
confusion
elements.
In
fact,
the
film
is
the
remake
of
the
Telugu
movie,
which
was
a
runaway
success.
Coming
to
Ghajinikanth,
the
screenplay
of
the
film
has
been
layered
with
a
whole
lot
of
situations
that
set
the
tone
for
a
comedy
entertainer.
While
some
of
them
work,
others
fall
flat
with
over-dependence
on
dialogues
to
convey
the
exact
ideas.
The
cliched
elements
are
largely
recognizable
and
play
spoilsport
in
many
of
the
instances.
For
the
fans
of
commercial
movies,
Ghajinikanth
has
umpteen
number
of
references
to
their
favourite
stars,
including
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Haasan,
Ajith,
Suriya,
etc.
Santosh
P
Jayakumar's
treatment
for
the
film
is
OK
and
his
attempt
to
move
away
from
the
making
style
of
previous
films
tastes
only
a
moderate
success.
Like
he
tries
to
get
out
of
the
cliched
moments
by
playing
down
some
of
the
sequences,
but
it
doesn't
work
out
all
the
time.
The
pacing
of
the
first
half
of
the
film
could
have
been
swift,
as
at
times
one
would
feel
that
the
entertainment
element
is
missing.
However,
he
stays
close
to
the
genre
of
the
film
for
the
entire
running
length
without
losing
the
focus.
Arya
does
complete
justice
to
his
character
and
his
comic
timing
is
so
good.
Sayyesha,
who
plays
the
character
Vandhana,
has
come
up
with
a
decent
performance.
Sathish
evokes
a
good
number
of
laughs.
Karunakaran,
Sampath
Raj,
Aadukalam
Naren,
etc.,
have
done
their
part
neatly.
The
songs
are
pretty
average,
but
the
background
scores
do
the
best
job
for
this
comedy
entertainer.
The
cinematography
works
require
due
mention
and,
at
the
same
time,
editing
could
have
been
slightly
better,
especially
in
the
second
half.
Ghajinikanth,
despite
having
a
storyline
apt
for
an
out-and-out
entertainer,
only
manages
to
give
the
desirables
at
portions.
However,
the
film
is
definitely
a
one-time
watch
for
its
genuinely
comical
elements.
