2006 is a landmark year for Bollywood. Not only has the volume of business increased in India, even the Overseas territory is growing with each passing week. While Rang De Basanti, Fanaa, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna have emerged solid hits, an Omkara [with a dark theme] is a big success in U.S.A., while a Humko Deewana Kar Gaye [a non-success in India] is a success in U.K.

Without doubt, Overseas is the hottest territory today!

While Sanjay Dutt has never been a hot proposition in Overseas, the tide is likely to change with Lage Raho Munnabhai. In fact, this is the first Sanju starrer that has been released with 150 + prints in Overseas. But there's another reason to rejoice: Lage Raho Munnabhai has opened to an extra-ordinary response in the three major markets -- U.S.A., U.K. and Australia. Lage raho, Choprabhai and Hiranibhai!

Meanwhile, Tips' Punjabi film Dil Apna Punjabi has also opened to an excellent response in U.K.

Weekend: September 1 - 3, 2006.
