Gurinder Chadha's much-awaited film It's A Wonderful Afterlife has under-performed in U.K. Talking strictly from the business point of view, several Bollywood biggies, starring SRK, Aamir and Akshay in particular, have fetched a far better start on limited screens than It's A Wonderful Afterlife, which opened in 295 screens. Even otherwise, when you compare the opening weekend numbers of It's A Wonderful Afterlife with Gurinder's earlier films – Bride And Prejudice [£ 1,667,616 on 376 screens; screen average: £ 4,435] and Bend It Like Beckham [£ 2,001,795 on 384 screens; screen average: £ 5,213] - the opening weekend numbers of It's A Wonderful Afterlife are extremely disappointing [£ 464,468 on 295 screens; screen average: £ 1,574].

Weekend: April 23 - 25, 2010.
