Desi Boyz collects Rs 25.5 cr at Box Office in first weekend

Rohit Dhawan's debut directorial movie Desi Boyz has a made a decent earning at the Box Office in the first weekend. Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer was expected to rake in Rs 30 crore net at the collection centres, but it ended up collecting Rs 25.5 crore in the opening weekend.

The film Desi Boyz, which was released on 25th November, opened to mixed response and collected more than Rs 8 crore net on the first day. Its business was expected to improve on Saturday and Sunday, but it failed the meet the expectations of the producers. The film grossed Rs 8.25 crore and Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and Sunday.

However, Desi Boyz is a comedy movie, which has received positive reviews from most of the film critics. It has amazing chemistry of Akshay and John and wonderful production values, but its beauty was marred by its weak script. It was released in 2,200 centres. Despite not having a strong contender, the movie failed to make it big at the Box Office.
