This week witnessed the release of four much-hyped movies like Force, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, Hum Tum Shabana, Tere Mere Phere and Chargesheet, but the film Force has reportedly beaten other releases at the Box Office. According to trade analysts, John Abraham and Genelia D'Souza starrer is leading the race by a big margin of collection.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh said that the figures of the morning shows of the all the movies show that Force has garnered a forceful start at single screens and a decent/average start at multiplexes across the country. The opening shows at single screens were in 80% to 90% range [at places, even 100%], while plexes were around 30% to 40%.
Force has got positive reviews from film critics. John-Genelia's on-screen chemistry, well-choreographed action sequences have been widely appreciated by the critics. Now, the word of mouth is expected to boost its collection and make its first day numbers to be John Abraham's biggest so far.
Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster has also received lots of appreciation for its wonderful script and superb performances by lead actors Jimmy Shergill, Randeep Hooda and Mahie Gill. But the opening figures are said to be very low at the collection centres. Now, its strong word of mouth is expected to do the magic at the Box Office.
Remaining releases like Hum Tum Shabana, Tere Mere Phere and Chargesheet have got the good promotional campaigns, but the response in the their opening shows was very disappointing. According to Taran Adarsh, the opening shows were in 10% to 15% range.
