While Dabangg saw approx 15-18% drop during the weekdays, Ready saw only a 10% drop. Though as compared to Dabangg, Ready ranks low, the daily business done by the film is getting it closer to Dabangg's business.
On the first Saturday, Dabangg had done a nett business of 16.35 crore, while Ready pocketed 12.74 crore nett, a gap of 3.61 crore, was filled at the end of the week. The business of Dabangg on its first Thursday was 5.85 crore, which is expected for Ready too.
While Dabangg opened the second weekend too, Ready sees a competitor in X-Men, which will steal away few of its screens. However, Ready may still record the second best second weekend ever.
Word of mouth promotions by the mass and family audience has worked well for Salman Khan's Ready. The film has been faring well during the week days. After the grossing during the weekends, Ready was expecting a 100 crore nett business, but after looking at the trends at Box Office, the makers are looking up to a 120 crores nett profit.
