1920 Evil Returns and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (LSTCK) have concluded the first week at the Box Office in India. Despite getting tough competition from James Bond movie Skyfall, 1920 Evil Returns has topped the domestic collection chart while the latter landed in the second spot.
It was predicted that Daniel Craig starrer Skyfall would affect the business of Indian movies. But 1920 Evil Returns opened to a very good response at both single screens and multiplexes and its business maintained its pace at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend. It showed 50%+ dip in its business on the weekdays.
The film 1920 Evil Returns has collected a total of Rs 19.10 crores nett at the Desi Box Office in the first week. It is an excellent collection, when compared to many biggies, which released this year. Its breakup is Rs 4.05 cr on Fri, Rs 3.88 cr on Sat, Rs 4.34 cr on Sun, Rs 2.06 cr on Mon, Rs 1.72 cr on Tue, Rs 1.60 cr on Wed and Rs 1.45 cr on Thu.
Whereas, another new Hindi release Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana was surely affected by both Skyfall and 1920 Evil Returns and opened to a below average response. Its business doubled up in the weekend, but it saw considerable amount of dip in its business. It has collected Rs 7.85 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first week. Its breakup is Rs 1.25 cr on Fri, Rs 2 cr on Sat, Rs 2.5 cr on Sun, Rs 60 lakhs on Mon, Rs 55 lakhs on Tue, Rs 50 lakhs on Wed and Rs 45 lakhs on Thu.
