Akshay Kumar's Joker gets dismal response at Box Office

Director Shirish Kundar's Joker is one of the most-hyped Hindi movies of the year 2012, but the movie has received a dismal response at the Box Office in India. According to trade analysts, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer has been affected by new releases like Jalpari, I am 24 and From Sydney with love at the collection centres across the country.

Despite having lot of buzz, the movie Joker has shockingly opened to a very low response at the Box Office. The fantasy adventure film has registered 20% to 25% occupancy at the single screens and 15% to 20% occupancy in the multiplexes across the country in the morning and matinee shows. As per early trends, it is expected to collect Rs 5 to 6 crores on the first day of its release.

Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha had rocked the audience in the movie Rowdy Rathore. The same duo seems to have failed to attract many to theaters. The makers of Joker have had massive promotion prior to its release. Besides this, its promos had created a lot of curiosity among the movie buffs.
