Barfi continues to affect Heroine collection at Box Office

Kareena Kapoor's Heroine has done wonderful collection at Box Office in India in the first weekend. But its business was not up to the expected mark and the reason behind it was Barfi, which did extraordinary business in the second weekend too. Ranbir-Priyanka-Ileana starrer has continued to affect its collection on weekdays.

Barfi, which was released in theatres on September 14, has done fabulous collection in Indian as well as overseas in the first week. Its positive word of mouth repeated its magic in the second weekend too. Now, it has continued to keep the bells ringing at the Box Office on weekdays. It has added Rs 3.25 crores nett on its second Monday to its grand total 79.45 crores nett.

Whereas Heroine did superb collection, but its business dropped by 50% on Mon, when compared to its Friday total. The movie witnessed less amount of footfalls in the single screens across the country on fourth day, while multiplexes added to a lot to its total. The movie has collected 3.75 crores nett at the domestic Box Office on Monday.

However, Barfi is considered as the next film to join league of Rs 100 crore movies. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer needs another Rs 20+ crores to cross this mark and it might take a week or 10 days to achieve this figure if it moves at this pace. Meanwhile, Heroine is expected to surpass Rs 40 crore mark in the first week.
