Dabangg 2 first weekend collection at overseas Box Office

Hindi movie Dabangg 2 starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in leads, has opened to a fantastic response at the Overseas Box Office. The Arbaaz Khan directed film has collected Rs 21.98 crores nett ($ 4 million) at the international collection centres in the first weekend. But its foreign business is lower than that of Salman's previous release Ek Tha Tiger, which had collected Rs 22+ crores at the foreign Box Office.

Dabangg 2 has a good opening at the USA Box office, but its business is lower than that of Ek Tha Tiger, which had grossed Rs 8.25 crores ($ 14,84,404) from 120 screens in the country in five-day weekend with its per-screen average $ 12,370. The movie has collected Rs 5.60 crores ($ 10,19,213) from 166 screens in its opening weekend and its per screen average is $ 6,140.

Ek Tha Tiger had collected Rs 4.75 crores (£ 5,43,073) from 68 screens in the UK in 5-day first weekend with its per-screen average £ 7,986. Whereas Dabangg 2 has collected Rs 3.03 crores (£ 3,41,619) from 88 screens at the UK Box Office in the opening weekend and its per screen average is £ 3,882.

Dabangg 2 has an excellent opening at the UAE Box office and its business is far better than Ek Tha Tiger, which had collected Rs 6.79 crores ($ 1.22 million) in the country in the five-day weekend. The romantic action flick has collected Rs 7.03 crores (AED 47,00,000) in its opening weekend.

Pakistan is another foreign country, where Dabangg 2 has done wonderful business. The Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer has raked in Rs 1.92 crores ($ 3,50,000) at the Pakistan Box Office in its first weekend. Trade experts say that it is the biggest weekend ever for a Hindi film in the country.

Ek Tha Tiger had collected Rs 2.29 crores (A$ 3,93,063) from 21 screens at the Australian Box Office in the five-day first weekend and its per-screen average A$ 18,717. Whereas Dabangg 2 has collected Rs 1.57 crores (A$ 2,75,195) from 30 screens at the Australian collection centres in its opening weekend and its per screen average is A$ 9,173.

Ek Tha Tiger had collected Rs. 59.77 lakhs (NZ$ 1,32,613) from 16 screens in New Zealand in four-day weekend and its per-screen average was NZ$ 8,288. Whereas Dabangg 2 has collected Rs 36.98 lakhs (NZ$ 81,691) from 12 screens at the New Zealand Box Office in the first weekend and its per-screen average is NZ$ 6,808. Dabangg 2 is one of the top 5 openers of all times in the country.

Ek Tha Tiger had collected Rs 16.43 lakhs (FJD 52,795) from 2 screens in Fiji in four-day weekend and its per-screen average was FJD 26,398. Whereas Dabangg 2 has raked in Rs 10.27 lakhs (FJD 32,775) from 2 screens at the Fiji Box Office in its opening weekend and its per-screen average is FJD 16,388.
