Salman's Dabangg 2 crosses Rs 100 crore mark at Box Office

Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2 starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in leads, has continued to keep the bells ringing at the Indian Box Office on working days too. With its business going strong on weekdays, the romantic action movie has crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic collection centres on Wednesday on the sixth day of its release.

After a rocking business on Christmas holiday on December 25, Dabangg 2 showed a drop of 50% in its collection on Wednesday. As per early trends, the Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer has collected Rs 8.12 crores at the domestic Box Office on the sixth day, taking its total collection to Rs 100.78 crores nett.

On his Twitter account, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh has confirmed that the romantic action movie would cross Rs 100 crore mark. The film critic and trade expert tweeted, "At the rate #Dabangg2 is faring, one can safely *assume* that the film will cross the 100 cr nett mark today. On 6th day of release."

Salman Khan's previous release Ek Tha Tiger was the fastest 100 crore grosser movie in the history of Indian Cinema. And Dabangg 2 was expected to beat this record. But Arbaaz Khan's debut directorial venture has become the second fastest Rs 100 crore grosser film with its collection crossing this mark in six days.

Dabangg 2 has one more day ahead to conclude the first week and trade experts say that the movie is expected to collect Rs 110 crores at the domestic Box Office in its opening week. However, Dabangg 2 will not have any big competitor in the second week. Hence it is expected to do well in the next week too.
