Will Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger score Rs 100 cr in five days?

The 100 crore club that was once merely a dream is not impossible anymore. With the wide release and the star power, the market of Indian movies have grown by leap and bounds. Today, Bollywood films featuring A-list actors are scoring more than century with ease. As the scenario is rapidly changing, it is not about joining the 100 crore club, rather how many days a star's movie will take to reach the century mark.

The next in line to be expected to join the club is Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger. Not only it is a move starring a top actor but also the movie is made by the prestigious banner Yashraj Films, who are considered as the best in the business. The movie is hitting the screens on August 15, the week coinciding with Eid. While Salman went on to say that he wants all his films to collect Rs 200 crore, his latest flick is expected to break some records with his latest film.

Traders are predicting that Ek Tha Tiger has got a very good chance of joining the elite club of century-scorers in the first week itself and if it does, it will be the first ever Indian movie to have scored it in the opening week. These predictions are based on his four consecutive centuries in Wanted, Dabangg, Bodyguard and Ready. It is also noted that Bodyguard, which was released on last Eid, managed to collect Rs 100 crore in just eight days followed by Ready that reached the mark in 12 days.

In the current year, as many as four movies have joined the club. Hrithik Roshan's Agneepath (10 days), Housefull 2 (17 days), Rowdy Rathore (10 days) and Bol Bachchan (20 days) have written success stories at Bollywood Box Office. Considering the huge hype around Ek Tha Tiger, the traders have reckoned that the Salman starrer movie might set the new record by earning Rs 100 crore in the first week. His earlier movie Bodyguard was released in 2,500 screens worldwide and if the latest flick is released in around 2,800-3,000 screens, it is likely to create a history, wraps up the trade circle.
