Ajay
Devgn's
Son
Of
Sardar
(SOS),
which
is
the
Hindi
remake
of
Telugu
movie
Maryada
Ramanna,
has
finally
overtaken
Shahrukh
Khan's
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
(JTHJ),
which
had
topped
the
weekend
collection
chart
at
the
Box
Office
in
India.
Son
Of
Sardar
has
collected
Rs
16
lakhs
more
than
the
latter
at
the
domestic
business
centres
on
Wednesday.
Son
Of
Sardar
is
one
of
the
much-hyped
movies
in
Hindi.
Especially,
Ajay
Devgn's
legal
war
against
YRF,
the
makers
of
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan,
had
added
to
its
massive
hype
and
curiosity.
But
the
movie,
which
graced
2,000+
screens
in
the
country
on
November
13,
failed
to
beat
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan,
which
was
released
on
2,500+
screens
in
the
country.
Although
its
per
screen
average
was
almost
equal
to
the
latter,
it
was
released
in
less
number
of
theatres
than
the
other.
Another
noticeable
thing
here
is
that
when
their
business
improved,
Son
Of
Sardar
saw
higher
rate
of
growth
than
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan.
When
their
collection
dropped,
Son
Of
Sardar
showed
lesser
amount
of
dip
than
the
latter
till
Tuesday.
But
the
Ajay
Devgn
starrer
overtook
the
Shahrukh
starrer
on
the
8th
day
of
its
release.
It
has
collected
Rs
4.82
crores
on
Tuesday
and
Rs
4.45
crores
on
Wednesday
at
the
domestic
Box
Office,
while
the
latter
raked
in
Rs
4.66
crores
and
Rs
4.12
crores
on
these
two
days
respectively.
However,
Son
Of
Sardar
might
have
beaten
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
with
a
small
margin,
but
what
the
Bollywood
trade
experts
say
is
very
interesting.
They
say
that
it
is
clear
sign
of
the
growing
potentiality
of
Son
Of
Sardar.
Since
there
are
no
big
release
this
weekend,
the
trade
analysts
feel
that
the
Ajay-Sanjay-Sonakshi
starrer
may
lead
the
collection
chart
at
the
desi
Box
Office
in
the
second
week.
