Karan
Johar's
recent
release
Student
of
the
Year
(SOTY)
has
affected
the
collection
of
new
releases
like
Chakravyuh,
Ajab
Gazabb
Love
(AGL)
and
Rush
at
the
Box
Office.
Chakravyuh
has
topped
the
business
chart,
while
Student
of
the
Year
landed
in
the
second
position
with
a
small
margin.
The
earning
other
two
movies
is
very
low.
Prakash
Jha's
latest
directorial
venture
Chakravyuh,
which
hit
the
screens
on
October
24,
had
opened
to
a
lukewarm
start
and
collected
Rs
12.25
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
five-day
extended
first
weekend.
Its
business
remained
steady
on
weekdays.
The
movie
added
Rs
4.5
crores
to
its
first
week
total
Rs
16.75
crores
nett.
Its
9-day
total
looks
lean
before
the
second
week
(seven
day)
collection
of
Student
of
the
Year.
Student
of
the
Year,
which
had
opened
to
an
overwhelming
response
and
collected
Rs
48
crores
at
the
desi
Box
Office
in
the
first
week,
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
at
the
collection
centres
in
the
second
week
too.
The
movie
raked
in
Rs
10.75
crores
in
the
second
weekend
and
its
business
fell
down
by
Rs
4.75
crores
on
the
weekdays.
It
has
added
Rs
15.5
crores
nett
to
its
two-week
total
to
Rs
63.5
cr
nett.
However,
despite
having
good
word
of
mouth,
Ajab
Gazabb
Love
opened
to
a
poor
show
at
the
Box
Office.
It
has
raked
in
approximately
Rs
6.5
crores
at
the
domestic
collection
centres
in
the
first
week.
Whereas,
another
new
release
Rush
has
utterly
fallen
flat
at
the
business
centres
with
its
first
week
collection
failing
to
cross
even
Rs
5
crores.
The
movie
has
approximately
collected
Rs
3.25
crores
in
the
country
in
the
first
week.
