Karan
Johar's
latest
movie
Student
Of
The
Year
SOTY,
which
has
rocked
the
viewers
in
the
first
week,
has
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
at
the
Box
Office
in
India
in
the
second
week
too.
The
Siddharth
Malhotra,
Alia
Bhatt
and
Varun
Dhawan
starrer
movie
has
overtaken
new
releases
like
Chakravyuh,
Ajab
Gazabb
Love
and
Rush
at
the
domestic
collection
centres
in
the
second
weekend.
Student
Of
The
Year
opened
to
an
overwhelming
response
and
collected
Rs
48
crores
nett
at
the
desi
Box
Office.
Trade
experts
opined
that
its
rocking
business
will
be
affected
by
Chakravyuh,
Ajab
Gazabb
Love
and
Rush.
But
the
movie
has
proved
their
calculations
wrong
with
its
wonderful
collection
in
the
second
weekend.
Student
Of
The
Year
once
again
continued
to
thrill
the
film
goers
across
the
country.
The
film
cashed
in
on
the
poor
reviews
and
ratings
for
the
new
releases.
It
has
collected
Rs
10.75
crores
in
the
second
weekend
taking
its
10-day
total
to
Rs
58.75
crores.
Its
second
weekend
breakup
is
Rs
2.75
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
3.25
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
4.75
cr
on
Sun.
However,
trade
analyst
feel
that
Student
Of
The
Year
would
cross
Rs
70
crore
mark
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
second
week.
Since
there
are
no
big
release
in
the
next
week,
the
movie
will
rock
its
way
into
the
collection
centres
in
the
third
week
too.
Trade
experts
opine
that
it
could
join
the
league
of
100
crore
movies.
