This
Friday
witnessed
the
release
of
two
Bollywood
films
and
both
have
opened
to
a
below
the
mark
response
at
the
Box
Office.
Teri
Meri
Kahaani,
which
features
Shahid
Kapoor
and
Priyanka
Chopra
in
the
leads,
one
of
the
most
expected
movies
of
2012.
The
romantic
movie
has
received
a
better
response
than
the
Anurag
Kashyap's
Gangs
of
Wasseypur.
Teri
Meri
Kahaani
has
opened
to
an
average
response
and
it
had
an
edge
over
other
new
release
Gangs
of
Wasseypur.
The
movie
has
registered
35%
to
40%
occupancy
in
both
multiplexes
and
single
screens
in
the
morning
and
noon
shows.
It
is
expected
to
rake
in
Rs
4
to
5.5
crores
nett
at
the
Box
Office
on
the
first
day
of
its
release.
Shahid
Kapoor
and
Priyanka
Chopra
starrer
is
a
big
budget
movie
and
it
has
had
extensive
promotional
activities.
The
movie
has
received
negative
reviews
from
the
film
critics.
The
film
deals
with
three
different
plots,
which
are
not
properly
linked
with
each
other.
The
makers
wanted
to
it
get
a
fabulous
opening.
Hence,
it
has
to
show
a
big
leap
over
the
weekend,
if
it
has
to
meet
their
expectations.
On
the
other
hand,
Gangs
of
Wasseypur
is
one
of
the
critically
acclaimed
movies
of
2012
and
it
has
been
screened
in
Cannes
film
festival
and
a
few
other
international
film
festivals.
But
it
has
received
a
very
poor
start
at
the
Box
Office.
It
has
registered
8%
to
10%
occupancy,
which
is
very
low
when
compared
to
its
popularity.
The
film
will
have
to
show
a
miraculous
jump
in
its
business
over
the
weekend,
if
it
has
to
get
decent
numbers.
