Hindi
movie
Himmatwala,
which
has
been
touted
to
be
the
next
Rs
100
crore
film
of
Ajay
Devgn,
has
received
a
decent
opening
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
on
Friday.
But
its
initial
response
is
not
upto
the
hype
that
it
has
created
prior
its
release.
Trade
experts
opine
that
despite
being
a
solo,
the
Sajid
Khan
directed
flick
may
not
surpass
the
first
day
collection
record
of
Ajay's
last
release
Son
Of
Sardar.
Himmatwala
is
a
remake
of
the
1983
action
romance
film
of
the
same
name,
which
was
Blockbuster
at
the
Box
Office.
It
is
one
of
the
most-hyped
and
highly-anticipated
Hindi
movies
of
2013.
The
producer
has
done
massive
promotions
for
it
prior
its
release.
Besides
this,
it
is
the
only
Hindi
film
that
has
hit
the
screens
this
Friday,
which
is
holiday
due
to
Good
Friday.
Trade
expects
had
predicted
that
Himmatwala
would
get
a
record
breaking
opening.
But
its
opening
response
is
not
up
to
the
mark.
In
the
morning
and
matinee
shows,
the
movie
has
registered
good
occupancy
at
single
screens
in
mass
oriented
circuits
like
UP,
Bihar,
Gujarat,
CP,
CI
and
Rajasthan.
Whereas
it
has
a
very
poor
amount
of
footfalls
across
the
country.
However,
Himmatwala
starring
Ajay
Devgn
and
Tamanna
Bhatia
in
leads,
is
expected
to
show
a
big
jump
in
afternoon
and
night
shows.
It
should
be
seen
whether
it
will
break
the
opening
day
record
of
Son
Of
Sardar.
