Akshay Kumar's highly-anticipated movie Boss, which hit the screens on October 16, has done excellent collection at the Indian Box Office on its opening day. The masala entertainer has smashed the first day collection record of Akki's Rowdy Rathore and become the biggest opener in the career of the Bollywood actor.
Boss, which is one of the most-hyped Bollywood movies of 2013, had good amount of advance ticket booking for its opening day. Having released in 2,750 theaters in domestic market, the movie registered 85% to 95% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes. It has run to packed houses in many centres in the metros.
The film has collected approximately Rs 18.5 crores nett at the Indian Box Office on the first day. The Akshay Kumar starrer has beaten the record of his previous film Rowdy Rathore, which was the biggest opener for Akki with its opening day collection Rs 15.10 crores nett from 2,300 screens in the domestic market.
The Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Shiv Pandit starrer has got thumbs up from film goers. A good word of mouth, which is being spread on social media, is expected to take its business upwards over the weekend.
