Mumbai:
Aditya
Chopra's
latest
production
Aurangzeb
starring
Arjun
Kapoor,
Prithviraj
and
Sasha
Agha
in
leads,
has
concluded
the
first
week
with
an
average
amount
of
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
The
much-hyped
movie,
which
has
been
made
with
approximately
Rs
25
crores,
has
failed
to
recover
its
production
cost
in
seven
days.
Trade
experts
feel
that
its
performance
is
below
the
mark.
Aurangzeb,
the
hardcore
slick
action-drama,
debuted
with
a
poor
response
with
its
occupancy
ranging
between
20%
and
30%
in
both
multiplexes
and
single
screens.
It
was
expected
to
show
big
growth
in
its
business
over
the
weekend.
It
did,
but
it
was
not
upto
the
mark.
It
had
slightly
better
response
in
Delhi
and
UP
circuit.
The
film
collected
Rs
12.86
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
The
business
of
Aurangzeb
dropped
more
than
50%
on
Monday
and
it
continued
to
dip
throughout
the
week.
It
has
failed
to
cross
Rs
20
crore
mark
in
seven
days.
On
weekdays,
the
movie
has
collected
Rs
6.92
crores,
taking
its
first
week
domestic
total
to
Rs
19.78
crores
nett.
Its
first
week
breakup
is
Rs
3.92
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
3.96
cr
on
Sat,
Rs
4.98
cr
on
Sun,
Rs
2.12
cr
on
Mon,
Rs
1.73
cr
on
Tue,
Rs
1.59
cr
on
Wed
and
Rs
1.48
cr
on
Thu.
Aurangzeb
did
not
have
any
big
competitor
except
a
small
budget
movie
I
Don't
Luv
U.
Previous
week's
release
Go
Goa
Gone
was
removed
from
many
screens
and
it
did
not
do
well
in
existing
theatres.
Despite
having
a
good
chance,
Aurangzeb
has
failed
to
make
it
big
at
the
desi
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
With
two
big
movies
like
Ishkq
In
Paris
and
Hum
Hai
Raahi
Car
Ke,
it
should
be
seen
how
Aurangzeb
will
perform
in
the
second
week.
