Chashme Baddoor first week collection at Box Office

Mumbai: Viacom18 Motion Pictures' latest production Chashme Baddoor, which has been directed by David Dhawan, has had an excellent week at the Indian Box Office. The Ali Zafar, Siddharth and Taapsee starrer topped the domestic collection chart, beating Ajay Devgn's big budget film Himmatwala, which had released on March 29.

Chashme Baddoor embarked on an fantastic note on Friday and the movie showed big growth on the following days. It collected Rs 19.30 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 5.18 cr on Fri, Rs 6.27 cr on Sat and Rs 7.85 cr on Sun. It was an excellent business considering its lead cast.

The movie maintained rock-steady figures on weekdays and added another Rs 10.70 crore to its first week total Rs 30 crores nett at the domestic Box Office. Its weekdays breakup Rs 3.30 cr on Mon, Rs 2.85 cr on Tue, Rs 2.55 cr on Wed and Rs 2 cr on Thu. Its overseas total stands at Rs 5 crores nett. It has raked in Rs 35 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in the first week.

Trade experts feel even if its business drops by more than 50%, Chashme Baddoor will be able to cross Rs 50 crore mark in the second week. But this week, two much-hyped movies - Nautanki Saala and Commando have hit the screens. It should be seen whether they will let Chashme Baddoor to achieve this magical figure.
