Chennai Express (10 Days) 2nd Weekend Collection At Box Office

Despite facing tough feat from Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara, Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express has continued to keep the bells ringing at the Indian Box Office. The Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer has landed at the second place in the second week, while the Akshay, Imran and Sonakshi starrer topped the domestic collection chart. But its business is far better than that of the new release.

With the film loosing out many screens to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara, the business of Chennai Express declined by more than 80% on its second Friday. But the movie showed considerable amount of growth on Saturday and Sunday. The film has collected Rs 25 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the second weekend, while the latter raked in Rs 40 crores (inclusive of Thursday collection). Chennai Express has collected a total of Rs 181.93 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in 10 days. It has become the fourth all time highest grosser after 3 Idiots (Rs 202 crores), Ek Tha Tiger (Rs 199 crores) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Rs 188.57 crores). Trade experts feel that it will easily beat the record of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani by the end of second week. It might even beat the record of Ek Tha Tiger and become the second all time highest grosser in 14 days. It is also sure that the movie will become all time highest grosser in three weeks.
