Ek Thi Daayan first weekend collection at Box Office

New Hindi release Ek Thi Daayan (ETD) received decent opening at the Indian Box Office. But despite getting positive reviews from film critics, the Emraan-Konkona-Huma-Kalki starrer has failed to show big jump over the weekend. Although the movie has done decent collection, it has fallen back in beating the first weekend collection record of Emraan Harshmi's previous movie Jannat 2.

Horror film Ek Thi Daayan, which released in more number of multiplexes, registered good occupancy on its opening day, while it had an average footfall in single screens. The movie received favourable reviews from critics and its business was expected to get a massive improvement on Saturday and Sunday. But its collection remained much lower than its opening day business.

Emraan's Jannat 2 had raked in Rs 24.03 crores nett at the desi Box Office in its opening Box Office. His latest outing Ek Thi Daayan, which is one of the most hyped movies and has massive promotions, was expected to break this record. But it has collected Rs 18.07 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in its first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 6.24 cr on Fri, Rs 5.63 cr on Sat and Rs 6.20 cr on Sun.
