Grand Masti, a sequel to 2004 film Masti, released on September 13 and did fantastic business at the Indian Box Office in the first week. Although several biggies like Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, The Lunchbox, Besharam and Warning hit the screens in the next two weeks, the Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani starrer has remained unshaken by new releases. The movie is now fast heading towards Rs 100 crore mark.
The Indra Kumar-directed film open to good response in the domestic market. Despite getting negative reviews, the adult did wonderful business at the Indian Box Office with its collection crossing Rs 67 crores nett in the first week. Grand Masti maintained rock-steady at ticket windows in the second week by adding Rs 22.05 crores to its 14-day domestic total Rs 89.05 crores nett.
Grand Masti has once again rocked the viewers in the third week and collected Rs 9.97 crores nett at the Indian Box Office. Its 21-day domestic total stands at Rs 99.02 crores nett. The breakup of its third-week collection is Rs 1.45 cr on Fri, Rs 2.10 cr on Sat, Rs 2.65 cr on Sun, Rs 1.35 cr on Mon, Rs 1.31 cr on Tue, Rs 65 lakhs on Wed and Rs 46 lakhs on Thu.
Now, Grand Masti needs just Rs 1 crore to surpass Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office and it would rake in this amount in the fourth weekend and become the first adult comedy movie to achieve this magical number in the domestic market. Moreover, it will also be the first Rs 100 crore movie for Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani.
