Mumbai: John Abraham's much-hyped movie I, Me Aur Main (IMAM) and Ram Gopal Varma's much-awaited film The Attacks Of 26/11, which hit the screens on March 1, have done an average collection at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. They have landed in the second and third spots, while last week's release Kai Po Che once again topped the domestic business chart.

I, Me Aur Main starring John Abraham, Prachi Desai and Chitrangada Singh in leads, opened to a below average response with its occupancy ranging between 20% and 25%. The movie showed growth over the weekend, but it was not up to the mark. In the first weekend, it has collected Rs 5.4 crores nett at the domestic Box Office. Its breakup is Rs 1.45 cr on Fri, Rs 1.75 cr on Sat and Rs 2.2 cr on Sun.

Whereas Ram Gopal Varma-directed film The Attacks Of 26/11, the promos of which had created lot of curiosity among the viewers, also debuted with a below average response and its occupancy was almost equal to that of I, Me Aur Main. Like the latter, this movie too showed below the expected mark growth on Saturday and Sunday. It has collected Rs 5.30 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in its first weekend. Its break up is Rs 1.45 cr on Fri, Rs 1.70 cr on Sat and Rs 2.15 cr on Sun.

However, I, Me Aur Main and The Attacks Of 26/11 have together collected Rs 10.75 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend. Their collection is even lesser than the second weekend collection of Kai Po Che, which has added Rs 11.10 crores to its 10 day-total Rs 40.60 crores nett. It should be seen how they perform on the weekdays.
