New Hindi releases Inkaar and Mumbai Mirror, which had poor opening in India, have debuted to dull response at the overseas Box Office too. Last week's release Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has failed to cash in on this situation. It has continued its struggle in the international market and its business remains poor in the second weekend also.
Inkaar starring Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh in leads, did not release in major markets like UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand. The Sudhira Mishra directed flick was released in 26 screens in UAE and has received an average response. The film has collected Rs 61.77 lakhs (AED4,21,000) at the UAE Box Office in its first weekend. Its per screen average is AED16,192.
Whereas another new movie Mumbai mirror did not release in UAE, Australia and New Zealand. The movie hit screens in UK and USA, but it has received disastrous opening in both countries. In its opening weekend, the Sachiin J Joshi starrer has collected Rs 3.23 lakhs (£3,772) from 23 screens at the UK Box Office and Rs 2.44 lakhs ($4,550) from 28 screens at the USA Box Office.
Old release Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has collected £15,329 from 22 screens at the UK Box Office in its second weekend, taking its total to Rs 1.33 crores (£1,55,232). It has raked in $90,208 from 74 screens at USA Box Office. It has grossed A$14,942 from 16 screens at the Australia Box Office taking its total to Rs 57.70 lakhs (A$1,01,738). The film has added NZ$5,771 to its total Rs 17.09 lakhs (NZ$37,874) at the New Zealand Box Office.
