Mumbai: Vikram Bhatt's latest production Murder 3
starring Randeep Hooda and Aditi Rao Hydari in leads, has done an
average collection at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend.
It has topped the business chart. Whereas last week's releases
Special 26 and ABCD - Any Body Can
Dance have continued to do well and landed in second and third
spots, while another new release Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story
(JKLS) graced fourth position.
Murder 3 is the third installment in the
Murder series. Since its previous movies were big hits,
the latest film was also expected to become a big money spinner.
But the Vikram Bhatt directed flick opened to average response and
it did not show big growth on Saturday and Sunday. The film has
collected Rs 13.31 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the
first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 4.52 cr on Fri, Rs 4.01 cr on Sat
and Rs 4.78 cr on Sun.
Whereas old release Special 26 starring Akshay Kumar
and Kajal Agarwal in leads, has continued to keep the bells ringing
at the cash counters. The movie has maintained steady figures at
multiplexes of urban centres. In the second weekend, it has
collected Rs 13 crores nett at the domestic Box Office, taking its
10-day total to Rs 57 crores nett.
Another old release ABCD - Any Body Can Dance starring
Prabhu Deva, Kay Kay Menon and Ganesh Acharya in leads, has also
continued to rock the viewers. In the second weekend, the dance 3D
film has collected Rs 9 crores at the domestic Box Office, taking
10-day total to Rs 41 crores nett.
However, Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story starring Vivek Oberoi
and Neha Sharma opened to poor houses on its first day. The movie
got negative reviews and it did not show improvement over the
weekend. It has fetched negligible numbers at the Indian Box Office
in the first weekend.
