Race 2 (10 days) second weekend collection at Box Office

Hindi movie Race 2, which was released on January 25, continued to rock the Indian Box Office in the second week. The Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham and Anil Kapoor starrer has once again topped the collection chart in the second weekend, pushing down new releases like Vishwaroop, David, Deewana Main Deewana, Mai, Midnight's Children, Listen Amaya and Unsound.

Since six Hindi movies hit the screens on this Friday, trade experts had predicted that they would send down the collection of Race 2, which had collected Rs 76 + crores at the domestic Box Office in the first week. Undeterred by them, the Abbas-Mastan-directed action thriller continued to keep the bells ringing at the ticket counters across the country in the second weekend.

The business of Race 2 showed approximately 80% dip on its second Friday, when compared to its first day collection. The movie witnessed a big jump in its collection on Saturday and Sunday. In the second weekend, it has collected Rs 16 crores at the domestic Box Office, taking its 10-day total to Rs 91.6 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 3.5 cr on Fri, Rs 5.5 cr on Sat and Rs 6.5 crores.

But Race 2 has failed to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office in the second weekend. The action thriller was expected to rake in Rs 24 crores in the second weekend, but it collected only Rs 15.5 crores. However, trade experts feel that since the movie is likely to drop by 50%, it would take rest of the second week to surpass this mark. Stay locked to this space to read Race 2 collection reports.
