Mumbai:
Hind
movie
Race
2,
which
was
released
on
January
25,
has
once
again
rocked
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
second
week.
The
Saif
Ali
Khan,
John
Abraham
and
Anil
Kapoor
starrer
has
topped
the
collection
chart,
pushing
down
new
big
releases
like
Vishwaroop
and
David
to
second
and
third
spots,
respectively.
It
has
also
surpassed
Rs
100
crore
mark
at
the
desi
collection
centres
and
become
the
first
film
to
achieve
this
figure
in
2013.
Trade
analysts
had
predicted
that
the
collection
of
Race
2
would
go
down
drastically
as
six
new
films
like
Vishwaroop,
David,
Deewana
Main
Deewana,
Mai,
Midnight's
Children,
Listen
Amaya
and
Unsound
hit
the
screens.
Since
all
of
them
got
average
response,
the
Abbas-Mastan-directed
action
thriller
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
second
week
too.
The
business
of
Race
2,
which
had
collected
Rs
76+
crores
in
the
first
week,
witnessed
approximately
80%
dip
on
second
Friday,
when
compared
to
its
first
day
collection.
But
the
movie
showed
a
big
jump
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
It
collected
Rs
15.5
crores
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
second
weekend.
Race
2
also
fared
well
on
weekdays
too
and
its
collection
is
much
better
than
new
releases.
On
weekdays,
the
movie
raked
in
Rs
8.55
crores
at
the
desi
Box
Office,
taking
its
14-day
total
to
Rs
100.15
crores
nett.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
3.5
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
5.5
cr
on
Sat,
Rs
6.5
cr
on
Sun,
Rs
2.5
cr
on
Mon,
Rs
2.25
cr
on
Tue,
Rs
2
cr
on
Wed
and
Rs
1.80
cr
on
Thu.
