GTPM, SSTG (3 Days) First Weekend Collection At Box Office

Much was expected from the new movies Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (GTPM) and Singh Saab The Great (SSTG), which hit the screens cross the globe on Friday. But the Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer has failed to meet the expectations. When compared to this flick, the Sunny Deol starrer has done better business at the Box Office in its first weekend. While old release Ram Leela topped the collection chart, the new releases have landed in second and third places, respectively.

Trade experts had predicted that Gori Tere Pyaar Mein would affect the collection of Ram Leela, but instead, this romantic comedy itself got affected by the later in multiplexes. It opened to lukewarm response and it did not show any big jump on the following days. The movie has collected approximately Rs 11 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 3.50 cr on Fri, Rs 3.75 cr on Sat and Rs 4.25 cr on Sun. It needs to struggle a lot to recover its production cost in the coming days.


Whereas Singh Saab The Great opened to decent opening on Friday and this movie also did not witness a much-needed jump on Saturday and Sunday. It has collected approximately Rs 16 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 5.50 cr on Fri, Rs 5.25 cr on Sat and Rs 6 cr on Sun. The film, which has been made on a budget of Rs 16.25 crores, has almost recovered its production cost in just three days.
