Mumbai:
Today,
two
much-awaited
movies
The
Attacks
of
26/11
directed
by
Ram
Gopan
Varma
and
I,
Me
Aur
Main
starring
John
Abraham
in
leads,
were
released.
But
both
of
them
have
received
very
cold
response
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Trade
analysts
opine
that
the
poor
beginning
of
these
films
will
pave
the
way
for
Kai
Po
Che
to
rock
once
again
in
the
second
weekend.
The
Attacks
of
26/11
and
I,
Me
Aur
Main
are
backed
by
reputed
names/studios
and
well-known
star
in
the
cast.
Besides
this,
the
makers
have
had
huge
amount
of
publicity
for
this
much-hyped
films,
prior
their
release.
They
were
expected
to
get
a
flying
start
at
the
domestic
Box
Office,
but
surprisingly,
they
have
got
below
the
mark
response
across
the
country.
The
Attacks
of
26/11,
which
deals
with
2008
Mumbai
terrorists
attack,
has
registered
a
slightly
better
response
in
the
Mumbai
circuit,
but
has
had
a
very
dull
beginning
in
other
areas
in
the
morning
and
matinee
shows.
Whereas
I,
Me
Aur
Main
has
got
an
average
footfalls
at
select
multiplexes,
but
overall,
it
has
very
low
occupancy.
The
evening/night
shows
are
crucial
for
these
two
films.
However,
trade
expert
Taran
Adarsh
feel
that
Kai
Po
Che
would
top
the
collection
chart
in
the
second
weekend
beating
the
new
releases
The
Attacks
of
26/11
and
I,
Me
Aur
Main.
The
Bollywood
trade
analyst
writes,
"Kai
Po
Che
is
expected
to
dominate
the
domestic
BO
for
the
second
consecutive
weekend,
as
per
early
trends."
