Mumbai: Bollywood movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) has done a fabulous collection at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend. The Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer has become the highest grosser Hindi movie in its opening weekend in 2013, beating the previous records of Blockbuster movie Race 2, Salman Khan's biggest opener on non-holiday, Dabangg 2. It has also emerged as the biggest opener for Ranbir-Deepika in the international market.
In its opening weekend, Dabangg 2 had collected Rs 3.03 crores (£3,41,619) from 88 screens at the UK Box Office. Although it did better business in less number of screens, Race 2 had failed to beat this record with the film raking in Rs 3.02 crores (£3,56,258) from 76 screens. Whereas Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has collected Rs 3.49 crores (£4,05,784) from 88 screens at the UK Box Office in its opening weekend, beating the collection records of both movies.
In the American Box Office, Dabangg 2 had collected Rs 5.60 crores ($10,19,213) from 166 screens, while Race 2 raked in Rs 4.77 crores ($ 8,84,757) from 153 screens in their opening weekend. Whereas Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has smashed both records with a big margin. The film has collected Rs 8.89 crores ($15,68,677) from 162 screens at the USA Box Office in its first weekend.

YJHD Collection in Australia
In their opening weekend, Dabangg 2 had collected Rs 1.57 crores (A$2,75,195) from 30 screens, while Race 2 raked in Rs 1.03 crores (A$1,83,750) from 19 screens at the Australia Box Office. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has beaten the record of Race 2, but failed to smash the record of Dabangg 2. But considering its per screen average, the Ranbir-Deepika starrer has done much better business than Dabangg 2. The movie has collected Rs 1.46 crores (A$2,67,920) from 17 screens at the Australia Box Office in the first weekend.
YJHD Business in New Zealand
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has collected Rs 36.33 lakhs (NZ$ 80,648) from 10 screens at the New Zealand Box Office in the first weekend. In this country, the film has beaten the record of Race 2, which had raked in Rs 32.13 lakhs (NZ$ 71,341) from 10 screens. But it has failed to break the record of Dabangg 2, which had collected Rs 36.98 lakhs (NZ$ 81,691) from 12 screens.
YJHD Collection In Fiji
Fiji is the only foreign country, where Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has done average business. The film has collected Rs 8.87 lakhs (FJD 28,895) from 2 screens at the Fiji Box Office in four days (including Monday). It has failed to beat the record of Dabangg 2 and Race 2, which had collected Rs 10.27 lakhs (FJD 32,775) from 2 screens and Rs 23.37 lakhs (FJD 76,525) from 2 screens, respectively, in the country.
YJHD Overseas Collection In First Weekend
Salman Khan's Dabangg 2 had collected Rs 21.98 crores nett at the Overseas Box Office, while the international collection of Race 2 crossed Rs 17.26 crores nett ($3.2 million) in the first weekend. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has minted approximately Rs 22.10 crores ($3.9 million) at the international market, shattering the records of both movies.
