YRF Films' latest production Bewakoofiyaan has concluded the first week with an average collection at the Indian Box Office. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor starrer has been affected by summer heat and examination fever. The movie has landed in second place, while the last week's release Queen topped the domestic business chart.
With its promos soared up the viewers' expectation to the sky high, Bewakoofiyaan released in a decent number of theatres across the country on March 14. The movie was expected to start with a bang at the Box Office, but it registered a poor response on its opening day. The bad word of mouth took a toll on its business on Saturday and Sunday. Its business went on dropping from Monday onwards.
Bewakoofiyaan has collected Rs 7.31 crores nett in its opening weekend and Rs 5.48 crores nett on weekdays. Its breakup is Rs 2.23 cr on Fri, Rs 2.51 cr on Sat, Rs 2.57 cr on Sun, Rs 2.06 cr on Mon, Rs 1.44 cr on Tue, Rs 1.03 cr on Wed and Rs 95 lakhs on Thu. The movie has collected Rs 12.79 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first week. Having made with Rs 22 crores, the film has recovered 55%+ of its production cost.
Four much-hyped movies like Ragini MMS 2, Lakshmi, Gang Of Ghosts and Ankhon Dekhi have hit a large number of screens across the country. It should be seen whether they will slow the collection of Bewakoofiyaan at the Indian Box Office in its second week.
