Aamir's Dhoom 3 (14 Days) 2nd Week Collection At Box Office: Beats Krrish 3 Record

Aditya Chopra's Dhoom 3, which was released on December 20, has once again done fantastic collection at the Indian Box Office in the second week. The action thriller featuring Aamir Khan in negative role, has beaten the life-time collection record of Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 in 14 days and has become the all time highest grosser Bollywood movie. Having crossed Rs 250 crore mark in the domestic market, the film is now fast heading towards Rs 300 crore mark.

In the second week, Dhoom 3 had one big competitor - Mahabharat, which failed to take off well at the Box Office. The movie did not have big competitor from South or any other India regional languages. So this paved way for the Vijay Krishna Acharya-directed film to rock again at the ticket counters.

When compared to its opening day collection, Dhoom 3 witnessed more than 65% drop in its business on its second Friday. But the movie showed improvements over the weekend and it did fantastic collection on weekdays too. Its second week collection, which is a record in Hindi Cinema, is far better than the first week business of many super-hit movies of 2013.

Dhoom 3 has collected approximately Rs 68.33 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the second week. Its Hindi version has collected Rs 66.27 crores nett, while its Telugu and Tamil versions raked in Rs 2.06 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 10.10 cr on Fri, Rs 12.04 cr on Sat and Rs 16.71 cr on Sun, Rs 6.83 cr on Mon, Rs 7.26 cr on Tue, Rs 10.78 cr on Wed and Rs 4.61 cr on Thu.

The Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif starrer has collected Rs 257.31 crores nett (Rs 334.50 crores gross) at the Indian Box Office for 14 days. Having collected Rs 244.92 crores nett in the domestic market in its life time, Krrish 3 was the highest grosser of 2013 and all time highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema. Beating both these records, Dhoom 3 has snatched both the titles from the Hrithik Roshan starrer. It is expected to cross Rs 300 crore mark in the third week.

Chennai Express - 3rd Highest Grosser

Having collected Rs 227.13 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in its life-time, Chennai Express has become the third highest grosser of 2013 and the third all time highest grosser.

YJHD - 4th Highest Grosser

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which has collected Rs 188.57 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in its life-time, has become the fourth highest grosser of 2013 and the sixth all time highest grosser.

Ram Leela - 5th Highest Grosser

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer Ram Leela has raked in Rs 116.33 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in its life-time and has become the fifth highest grosser of 2013.
