Bollywood movie Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan,
Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and
Kaif starrer, has once again kept the cash registers ringing at
the Indian Box Office in the third week. Beating the
new releases Sholay 3D and Mr Joe Bhi Carvalho,
this action thriller has dominated domestic collection chart for
the third time. In 21 days, the film has surpassed Rs 275 crore
mark in desi market.
Despite losing out a huge amount of screens to new movies
Sholay 3D and Mr Joe Bhi Carvalho, Dhoom
3 continued to rock at the ticket counters. The movie remained
the first choice for many viewers over the weekend. The movie
received good response on its third Friday and its business went up
further on the following days. It collected Rs 12.91 crores nett at
the Indian Box Office in the third weekend.
Dhoom 3 did better business than Sholay 3D and
Mr Joe Bhi Carvalho on weekdays too. The Vijay Krishna
Acharya-directed action thriller has collected Rs 7.37 crores nett
at the Indian Box Office on weekdays, taking its third week
domestic collection to Rs 20.28 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 3.14
cr on Fri, Rs 4.02 cr on Sat, Rs 5.75 cr on Sun, Rs 2.10 cr on Mon,
Rs 2.04 cr on Tue, Rs 1.73 cr on Wed and Rs 1.50 cr on Thu.
Aditya Chopra-produced Dhoom 3 has collected Rs 277.59
crores nett from Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions at the Indian Box
Office. Will the movie cross Rs 300 crore mark in the domestic
market? The film has collected Rs 188.98 cr in the first week, Rs
68.33 crores nett in the second week and Rs 20.28 crores nett in
the third week. When looked at these figures, the business of the
film has showed 60%+ with each. If it runs at this ratio, it will
collect maximum of Rs 10 to 13 crores in coming weeks. So it will
not be able to score triple century.
