Ek Villain Beats Holiday, Humshakals Records At Overseas Box Office

New Bollywood release Ek Villain has received brilliant opening in the key international markets and made fantabulous collection at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend. Having cross $ 2.2 million mark, the Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor starrer the opening weekend business record of this year's big ticket movies like Holiday and Humshakals.

Ek Villain has collected Rs 1.97 crores ($ 327,427) from 85 screens in the USA, Rs 46.54 lakhs (US$ 77,441) from 12 screens in Canada, Rs 4.91 crores (AED 3,000,000) in the UAE, Rs 1.47 crores (£ 143,933) from 30 screens in the UK and Rs 39.22 lakhs (A$ 69,337) from 9 screens in Australia. The movie has raked in Rs 13.24 crores nett ($ 2.2 million) at Overseas Box Office in the first weekend.

Salman Khan's Jai Ho has topped the chart of the highest grosser Hindi movies overseas in the opening weekend in 2014 with its collection Rs 22.38 crores nett ($ 3.55 million), while Humshakals and Holiday landed in the second and third places with their business Rs 12.16 crores nett ($ 2.02 million) and Rs 10.61 crores nett ($ 1.796 million) respectively. Now, Ek Villain has landed in the second place, pushing down Humshakals and Holiday to third and fourth places.
