Akshay Kumar starrer Entertainment has finally crossed the 50 crore mark at the Box Office on its 6th Day. Entertainment which released on Friday got a good opening at the box office. On the first day, the comedy movie collected 11.16 crore at the Indian box office. Akshay Kumar's Entertainment's opening weekend collections has been his 7th highest till now for the Khiladi with Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2 and Holiday in the Top 3.
The film did a good business on the first weekend due to the word of mouth and positive reviews. Although the weekend was good, the collections started dropping by half from Monday. Seeing the pace of the box office collections, we expected it to cross 50 crore mark by Tuesday. However, Tuesday's collections were just 5.13 crore which landed to a total 48.82 crore.
On Wednesday, the comedy drama collected 4.12 crore. Trade Analyst and Bollywood critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Entertainment Fri 11.16 cr, Sat 11.53 cr, Sun 14 cr, Mon 7 cr, Tue 5.13 cr, Wed 4.12 cr. Total: ₹ 52.94 cr nett. India biz. STEADY"
Entertainment has been doing a slow and steady business at the Indian box office. If we count the 6 days collections, Entertainment made 52.94 crores at the domestic box office.
The Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer is a comedy flick, which shows the life of a struggling guy Akhil Lokhande (played by Akshay Kumar) who gets lucky when he comes to know that his father has left behind a huge sum of money. The movie has a nice blend of comedy, emotions, entertainment and drama.
