Yash
Raj
Films'
recent
release
Gunday,
which
hit
the
screens
on
Valentine's
day,
has
kept
the
bells
ringing
at
the
counters
across
the
country
in
the
week
two.
Despite
the
release
of
Highway,
the
Ranveer
Singh,
Arjun
Kapoor
and
Priyanka
Chopra
starrer
has
done
good
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
second
week.
But
trade
experts
feel
that
the
movie
will
not
be
able
to
cross
Rs
100
crore
mark
in
the
domestic
market.
Having
collected
Rs
63.08
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
market
in
the
first
week,
Gunday
witnessed
steep
down
fall
in
its
business
on
its
second
Friday.
But
the
business
of
the
Ali
Abbas
Zafar-directed
action
crime
thriller
film
improved
quite
well
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
In
the
second
week,
it
has
collected
Rs
13.04
crores
at
the
Indian
Box
Office,
taking
its
14-day
total
to
Rs
76.12
crores
nett.
It
breakup
is
Rs
2.03
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
2.61
cr
on
Sat,
Rs
3.51
cr
on
Sun,
Rs
1.27
cr
on
Mon,
Rs
1.14
cr
on
Tue,
Rs
1.03
cr
on
Wed
and
Rs
1.45
cr
on
Thu.
Shaadi
Ke
Side
Effects
has
released
in
a
large
number
of
theatres
across
the
country
today
(February
28).
Besides
few
screens
from
Gunday,
the
Farhan
Akhtar
and
Vidya
Balan
starrer
is
likely
to
slow
down
the
collection
of
the
latter
further.
Considering
the
superb
performance
of
the
Aditya
Chopra-produced
flick,
trade
analysts
predicted
that
it
would
surpass
Rs
100
crore
mark.
Looking
at
its
current
pace,
they
say
that
it
will
not
achieve
this
magical
number.
