Haider (Sunday) First Weekend Collection At Box Office

Haider starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj shows no growth in its collection at the Indian Box Office. The movie is brilliantly good and much better than Bang Bang which it had to compete with, yet the movie is failing to cross the Rs 7 crore mark in its's daily collection.

Haider is a drama film revolving around a boy named 'Haider' who seeks revenge of his father's death midst an unrest Kashmir. The film is not a mass movie and is for a certain niche audience only, this aspect has affected the movie collection a lot since it doesn't have that big a number of niche audience.

Haider on the opening day made around Rs 6.14 crores and on day two, Friday, the movie showed a very small increase in collection and made Rs 6.93 crores at the Box Office. Three day i.e on Saturday the collections took a slight dip, made Rs 6.38 crores, getting the total three days Box Office collection to Rs 19.46 crores.

On Sunday the movie collection was expected to soar but unfortunately it didn't happen so, the collection remained somewhat stagnant and the trade experts say that Haider has made Rs 7.33 crores collection at the Indian Box Office on Sunday, taking the total first weekend Box Office collection to Rs 26.78 crores.

The worldwide collection of Haider at the end of three days was Rs 21.46, which shows the movie made a measly 1 crore worldwide. The total worldwide Box Office collection at the end of four days will be Rs 28 crores.

The movie has almost recovered its budget cost, it has not made much profit and it is highly unlikely that the movie will make it to the 100 crore mark but what is assured that the makers are not facing any loss and they will recover the entire cost of the movie within first week of the release.
