Haider (Thursday) First Day Collection At Box Office

Haider movie starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor received mixed reviews with 90% of the people calling the movie a brilliant masterpiece. People didn't expect this movie to do that well at the Indian Box office for it had a tough competitor but based on people's opinion Haider has beaten Bang Bang.

People have found the latter movie a tad bit boring and dumb, and given a higher rating to Haider. The movie released in 1250 screens and managed to get an average opening of 60% occupancy rates during the morning shows across theatres in Bangalore.

Haider got affected by Bang Bang getting a 90% occupancy rate, since the latter movie was so much more hyped and promoted a lot on all mediums. Haider comes of as a serious people, which people might not opt for a good time during weekends.

But based on the good reviews coming from the people, Haider might actually grab attention. According to trade experts the movie has collected Rs 6.14 crores on the opening day. The movie depends a lot on word of mouth promotions and based on the brilliant picturesque cinema Vishal has directed, there is a 100% chance the movie will start to pick up and as the days pass the occupancy rate will increase.

The film producers for surely will at least recover the cost of the movie, Rs 24 crores if not make record breaking collections. But more so Haider will easily cross Rs 100 crores considering both the lead actors have had a good running at the Box Office recently with their respective blockbuster hits.

This is Shahid's second Highest opener ever behind Prabhudeva's R Rajkumar. The first day, opening collections of Haider is the 16th highest of 2014 and has beaten Finding Fanny.

Haider has done well across Mumbai,Pune, Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Hyderabad in India. But across small towns Haider did nnot click and ended up with low collections at the Box Office.
