Heropanti (3 Days) First Weekend Collection At Box Office

New release Heropanti has got decent opening and turned out to be another biggest Bollywood money spinner of 2014. Despite facing tough competition from multilingual film Kochadaiyaan and Telugu movie Manam, the Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer romantic-action film has made superb collection at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend and topped the domestic business chart. It has got a big break to debutante actors.

Before its release, Heropanti was riding on the back of huge hype and the makers had had massive publicity for it with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon promoting the film on a few hit TV shows. Released in 2000 screens on May 23, the movie was expected to start with a bang, but it clashed with Kochadaiyaan and Manam. It registered an average of 50% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes on Friday.

Heropanti was expected to show big leap on Saturday, but its business slipped down with a small margin. However, the movie showed big jump on Sunday. It has collected Rs 21,33 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. The breakup of its three days collection is Rs 6.63 cr on Fri, Rs 6.42 cr on Sat and Rs 8.28 cr on Sun.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala with a whooping budget, Heropanti has recovered more than 60% of its production cost in just three days. As per its current trends, the movie is likely to cross Rs 35 crore mark at the India Box Office in the first week. Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, "First #Highway. Then #2States. Now #Heropanti. It's a hat-trick for Sajid Nadiadwala and UTV."
