This week's new Bollywood release Heropanti starring debutantes Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in the leads, has received decent response at the Indian Box Office on its opening day. The movie was affected by Hollywood movie X-Men: Days Of Future Past and multilingual movie Kochadaiiyaan across the country and Telugu film Manam in South.
Directed by Sabbir Khan, Heropanti has been creating ripples in the media for all good reasons for quite long time. Its promos and music have soared up the expectations to of the sky high. Viewers are eagerly waiting to watch the movie. In addition, the makers of the film have done massive promotion for it. Considering its star cast, the film had a good amount of advance ticket booking for Friday.
Considering its huge hype and publicity, trade experts predicted that Heropanti, which released in more than 2000 screens in the domestic market on May 23, would start with a bang at the Indian Box Office. The film received good opening, but it was not upto the expected level. The movie has registered 50% occupancy in the Northern circuits, while it witnessed less than 40% footfalls in the South in the morning and matinee shows.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Heropanti has collected Rs 6.63 crores nett from 2000 screens at the Indian Box Office on the first day of its release. Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Heropanti has a ROCKING start. Fri Rs 6.58 cr nett. India biz."
