Like in domestic market, Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty opened to an average response in foreign countries, but has shown superb growth on the following days. The Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Singha starrer has done brilliant collection at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend. But its numbers are not upto the business of Akki's previous releases like Boss and Rowdy Rathore in the key international markets like USA and UK.
Analysing the business of Holiday, Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh writes, "The much-awaited biggie Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, which embarked on a slow start in key international markets [except UAE-GCC, where the start was superb], witnessed substantial growth in business from Day 2 onwards. While the Day 1 figure ranged from ordinary to low in these markets, the business on Day 2 and Day 3 helped the film post a decent total over the weekend."
Holiday has collected Rs 10.61 crores ($ 1.796 million) from around 350+ screens at the USA Box Office in the first weekend. Taran Adarsh adds, "As highlighted earlier, the film had a fantastic start in UAE-GCC and maintained the pace all through the weekend. The *opening weekend total* is approx $ 1.796 million [Rs 10.61 cr]."
