Humshakals (7 Days) First Week Collection At Box Office

Sajid Khan's latest directorial venture Humshakals has fared well at the ticket counters across India. The Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor starrer comedy entertainer has made superb collection at the Indian Box Office in seven days and cross Rs 50 crore mark. Despite getting negatuve feedback from the film goers, the movie has topped the domestic business chart.

Having soared up viewers' expectations to the sky high before its release, Humshakals released in 3500 screen in the domestic market on June 20 and debuted with a below average response in the morning show on Friday. Though the movie received bad word of mouth from both critics and viewers, it business went upwards in the later show. The film also showed decent growth at the Box Office over the weekend.

On Monday, Humshakals witnessed more than 60% dip in its business and it continued to drop on the following weekdays too. The movie has collected Rs 56.23 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first week. Its breakup is Rs 12.50 cr on Fri, Rs 12.59 cr on Sat, Rs 15.04 cr on Sun, Rs 5.10 cr on Mon, Rs 4.25 cr on Tue, Rs 3.75 cr on Wed and Rs 3 cr on Thu.

Before its release, trade experts had predicted that Humshakals would be fourth Hindi movie to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office in 2014. Will it achieve this magical number? Finger crossed! Much-awaited movie Ek Villain has released in theatres and it is likely a take toll on collection of Humshakals in its second week. We have to wait to know whether it would be able to face the competition and come out as a big winner in its second week.
