Would
you
believe
if
I
said
Humshakals
has
got
the
third
biggest
opening
and
has
raked
in
Rs
15.12
crores
at
box
office?
Well
you
have
to!
Because
if
Box
Office
reports
are
to
believed
then
Sajid
Khan's
Humshakals
has
beaten
Holiday
and
2
States's
first
day
earnings
as
well.
Saif
Ali
Khan
starrer
Humshakals
has
been
repeatedly
bashed
up
by
the
film
critics
as
a
dim-witted
and
boring
film,
but
all
those
don't
matter
if
the
movie
is
raking
in
the
moolah.
People
who
have
been
degrading
the
movie
will
have
to
eat
up
their
words
now
as
the
movie
is
going
great
guns
and
the
producers
of
the
movie,
Vashu
Bhagnani
and
Fox
Star
Studios
are
laughing
their
way
to
the
bank.
Jai
Ho
ranks
at
number
one
spot
with
Rs
17.75
crores
collection
on
the
opening
day,
second
spot
is
taken
over
by
Gunday
which
earned
Rs
16.12
crores
and
finally
Humshakals
having
beaten
Holiday
and
2
States
has
occupied
the
third
spot
by
raking
in
Rs
15.12
crores.
The
multi
starrer
had
a
slow
start
but
picked
up
well
later
in
the
day
on
20
June.
Humshakals
had
already
earned
Rs
45
crore
through
non-theatrical
revenue
streams
and
is
steadily
moving
towards
profit.
The
film
has
also
surpassed
the
first
day
collections
of
Sajid's
last
release
Himmatwala
which
had
minted
Rs
12.1
crore.
The
negative
feedback
from
critics
may
affect
this
movie's
business
in
the
coming
days
and
since
Holiday
is
still
running
successfully
in
the
theatres,
it
might
be
facing
competition
from
there
as
well.
For
example
even
though
Jai
Ho
had
the
biggest
opening,
Salman‘s
film
failed
miserably
at
the
box
office.
So
no
one
can
predict
the
fate
of
the
movie
anymore.
As
of
now,
Jai
Ho
tops
the
list
of
highest
opening
weekend
grossers
with
Rs
60.68
crore
collections.
Gunday
is
second
in
the
list
with
Rs
43.93
crore
and
Holiday
takes
the
third
spot
with
Rs
41.32
crore.
It
would
be
interesting
to
see
if
Humshakals
manages
to
beat
Holiday
or
Jai
Ho's
weekend
figures.
