Humshakals (Fri, Sat) 2 Days Collection At Box Office
Mach-awaited multi-starrer Bollywood movie Humshakals featuring Saif Ali Khan, Ram Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles, has received decent opening at the Indian Box Office. The Sajid Khan-directed comedy entertainer has become the third biggest opener of the year 2014. The movie has made superb collection in the domestic market on Friday and Saturday and beaten the record of recent release Holiday.
Humshakals is one of the most-hyped and highly-promoted movies of 2014. Released in around 3500 screens in the domestic market on June 20, the movie opened to a below average response with its occupancy ranging between 30% and 35% in both single screens and multiplexes in the morning show on Friday. The film showed a big jump in the afternoon and matinee shows. It collected Rs Fri 12.50 crores nett at the Indian Box Office on the first day.
Considering its negative response, trade experts predicted that the business of Humshakals would go downwards on Saturday, but to everyone's surprise, the movie maintained super steady. Despite the unprecedented negativity against it, many film goers opted to watch it. Instead of going down, the movie showed a little growth. On its second day, the film has collected Rs 12.59 crores nett at the Indian Box Office, taking its two-day domestic collection to Rs 25.09 crores nett.
Humshakals is a comedy movie centered around three people, who each have a lookalike of a lookalike, all with the same name.
