One-week-old release Main Tera Hero once again kept bells ringing a the Indian Box Office in the second week. Despite facing tough competition from new release Bhoothnath Returns, the Varun Dhawan, Ileana D'Cruz and Nargis Fakhri starrer has made decent business in the domestic market. The David Dhawan-directed film has surpassed Rs 50 crore mark in the country in 13 days.
Main Tera Hero had collected Rs 38.48 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first week. When compared to its opening day collection (Rs 6.60 crore), the movie witnessed more than 75% dip in its business on its second Friday, but it showed decent growth o Saturday and Sunday. In its second weekend, the movie raked in Rs 7.50 crores nett in the domestic market, taking its 10-day total to Rs 45.98 crores nett.
On its second Monday, the business of Main Tera Hero started collapsing and continued to drop till the end of the week. On weekdays, the movie added Rs 5.25 crores to its second week domestic collection - Rs 12.75 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 1.50 cr on Fri, Rs 2.25 cr on Sat, Rs 3.75 cr on Sun, Rs 2 cr on Mon, Rs 1.20 cr on Tue, Rs 1.05 cr on Wed and Rs 95 lakhs on Thu.
Made on a whopping budget of Rs 40 crores, Main Tera Hero has collected Rs 51.18 crores nett in 14 days. Having clashed with Bhoothnath Returns in its second week, the movie is set to compete with another big-ticket movie titled 2 States, which is predicted to take a toll on its business in its third week. It should be seen whether it will be able to create a flutter in the ticket counters or not.
