Main Tera Hero First Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office

A few Bollywood movies released in the first quarter of 2014 have done well in the domestic business centres, but have failed to make it big in the international markets. David Dhawan's latest directorial venture Main Tera Hero (MTH) is the new film to join league of such flicks. The Varun Dhawan, Ileana D'Cruz and Nargis Fakhri starrer has underperformed in key foreign collection centres.

Main Tera Hero has collected Rs 73.54 lakhs ($ 122,379) from 55 screens in the USA, Rs 23.72 lakhs (US$ 39,467) from 15 screens in Canada, Rs 67.26 lakhs (£ 67,544) from 37 screens in the UK, Rs 18.59 lakhs (A$ 33,356) from 10 screens in the Australia Box Office in the first weekend. The makers of the film are yet to reveal its collection in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Having released in around 200 screens in the international market, Main Tera Hero has collected Rs 1.83 crores nett at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend. Trade experts opine that its UAE collection is expected to take its international numbers beyond Rs 2.50 crores nett. The movie has done decent collection in the domestic market. It has collected Rs 22.73 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. Its three-day global total stands at Rs 25+ crores.
