Director
David
Dhawan's
latest
venture
Main
Tera
Hero
has
debut
with
good
response
and
done
a
decent
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
on
Friday
and
Saturday.
Considering
its
solo
release
this
weekend
and
the
hype
surrounding
it,
the
business
of
the
film
was
expected
to
be
far
better
than
its
present
performance,
but
the
movie
was
affected
by
examination
and
cricket
fever.
Main
Tera
Hero
has
been
creating
positive
buzz,
ever
since
it
hit
the
floor.
The
funny
dialogues
featured
in
its
promos
had
added
more
hype
for
it,
making
the
film
goers
wait
desperately
for
its
release.
So
this
quirky
comedy
with
a
dash
of
freshness
was
expected
to
start
with
a
bang
at
the
domestic
Box
Office.
But
the
movie
opened
to
an
average
response
with
its
occupancy
ranging
between
35%
and
45%
on
Friday.
The
Varun
Dhawan,
Ileana
D'Cruz
and
Nargis
Fakhri
starrer
collected
Rs
6.60
crores
nett
in
the
domestic
market
on
its
first
day.
Having
garnered
a
strong
positive
word
of
mouth,
the
film
showed
decent
growth
in
its
business
on
Saturday
with
its
collection
crossing
Rs
8.07
crores
nett.
Main
Tera
Hero
has
collected
Rs
14.67
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
two
days.
It
is
expected
to
show
a
big
leap
on
Sunday
and
take
its
first
weekend
total
beyond
Rs
25
crore.
