The performance of Queen has surprised many in the B-Town.
Despite the release of four movies like Ragini MMS 2,
Gang Of Ghosts, Ankhon Dekhi and
Lakshmi, the Kangna Ranaut starrer has continued to
keep the cash register ringing at the ticket counters. The film has
done wonderful collection at the Indian
Box Office in the third weekend and landed in the second place,
while the Sunny Leone starrer topped the domestic business
Trade experts had predicted that new releases will take a toll
on the collection of Queen. As expected, Ragini MMS
2 did it to a certain extent on its opening day, but could not
repeat the same on Saturday and Sunday. When compared to its first
day collection, Queen witnessed around 30% dip in its
business on its third Friday. The movie showed around 100% growth
over the weekend.
Queen had collected Rs 19.70 crores in the first week
and Rs 20.30 crores in the second week. In its third weekend, the
movie has raked in Rs 6.85 crores nett at the Indian Box Office,
taking its 17-day domestic total to Rs 46.85 crores nett. Its
breakup is Rs 1.35 cr on Fri, Rs 2.50 cr on Sat and Rs 3 cr on Sun.
Trade analyst opine that the movie would cross Rs 50 crore mark by
the end of third week.
